Maggie

Maggie

Maggie plays Melodeon, Piano Accordion, Hammered Dulcimer and Piano. Brought up in Nepal by a nomadic tribe of yak herders Maggie was never happier then when she was pulling on the udder of a hairy bovid, this later developed into an uncanny proficiency on the Melodeon and Accordion. A change of career from assistant blacksmith in the Great Western Railways Catering Division led to her forming the band in 1996.

Stan

Stan plays Ukulele Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, Plectrum Banjo and 12 string Guitar. He came to the band after an unsuccessful attempt to unicycle up the north face of the Eiger in scuba gear. From a promising start as an apprentice loin cloth tanner in Bolton Stan has wandered aimlessly from job to job and it must be said pub to pub. He has however now settled in Suffolk where he "tends" sheep and angora budgies.

Jim

Jim

Jim plays Piano Accordion and Piano. After his unfortunate unfrocking we found Jim playing piano in a steamy bordello in down-town Stowmarket. Overcoming his early disadvantages Jim has risen from a lowly position of Professor of Mathematics at University College London to become one of the country's leading Gerbil Taxidermists. Amongst Jim's other talents his inventions are perhaps the most noteworthy, in fact he still holds patents on the steam clarinet and the hydro-electric harp.

Jill

Jill plays fiddle. Although a classically trained musician, Jill found there was little call for washboard or Tibetan nose flute players in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She therefore devoted the next five years of her life to developing the sport of underwater wheelbarrow trekking, becoming World Champion from 1991 to 99. After an unfortunate accident involving a set of roller-skates and a Bushbaby, Jill has retired from the sport but still campaigns tirelessly for its inclusion in the next Olympics.
