Grants for renewables
The Government scheme for providing householders with grants towards the cost of installing renewable energy generation systems has been massively oversubscribed (these days each month's allocation is gone by about midday on the first of the month - be warned).  The scheme has been revamped and the maximum (theoretical) grant has been reduced but the scheme has been redesigned to try to ensure that more people get support.
