Old Fox House Musicians

A picture of the musicians

Old Fox Musicians was started about two years ago by members and staff at Old Fox House. We meet every Thursday between 4 and 6pm, to generally have fun and let off steam playing and singing anything we feel like from "Stand by your man" to "Postman Pat" (the theme song of a well known children's programme in Britain ) and also play lots of Jigs and Reels. We essentially have enormous fun and manage to get rid of a load of stress that often builds up inside us but we also organise ourselves now and then to go out and play for club or Senior Citizens Homes etc. We are about to play for the local Red Cross Disabled Club. And also at our very own Birthday Party. We either sing or play a variety of instuments:- Guitar, Banjo, Ukuele Banjo, Accordian, Electric Keyboard, Tambourines, and lots of other percussion, as well as Kazoos! We really enjoy playing and singing all kinds of music because:-

" It brings out the real bouncy me and makes me feel happy" - Maggie

"I enjoy being raucous! - Stan

"It broadens my horizons and lets me spend quality time with my friends" - Nina

"It relaxes me and I go there for the atmosphere" - Paul and Emma.

"Cos I like it!" - Linda and John.
